On the coefficient of compositional stability of nitrogen for high-nitrogen alloys of the Fe-Cr-Mn-Mo-N system, obtained by the SHS method under nitrogen pressure

The value of the nitrogen compositional stability coefficient has been determined for alloys Fe-Cr-Mn-Mo-N system obtained by self-propagating synthesis, namely, aluminothermy under pressure. It is shown that heat treatment alloy containing 14.3 wt.% chromium, 12.2 manganese, 4.0 molybdenum and 0.92 at 1250°C 2 h leads to dissolution a pseudo-perlitic structure (ferrite-nitride mixture) complete austenization samples. In this case, hardness decreases from 255 208 HB. results permit predict maximum possible content in continuous ingots (without bubbles gas porosity volume) and, consequently, structural-phase composition optimal regimes alloying. A method based on iterative calculation proposed.
